Driving Tickets Cost $1,000,000,000

June 30, 2007 you get a ticket for speeding, going 20 MPH over the speed limit and your total ticket is $200.
July 1, 2007 you get a ticket for speeding, going 20 MPH over the speed limit and your total ticket is $1,250.  Welcome to Virginia!
Driving without a license: then $75; now $975.

Virginia apparently doesn’t understand how to fund their own transportation costs with government funds that taxes pay for, so they have decided to up the cost traffic tickets by some insane amount of money.  Continue Reading »

14 year old girl from Spain dies at Disney Paris while riding Aerosmith rock ‘n’ roller coaster. No word on whether the Aerosmith music played a role in the girl’s death.

Serial Murderer to run for congress

Notorious curry killer Masumi Hayashi plans to run for next month’s Upper House elections from Death Row. Hayashi, like all others running for office, has until July 12 to file her candidacy for the July 29 House of Councillors election. And just because she’s on Death Row, doesn’t mean she can’t stand.

Now Cisco Comes In Light

Cisco, the networking company, has created an easier to achieve certification.  The reason for it is because their previous certs were very long and drawn out and many engineers weren’t interested in getting their certification in Cisco unless it meant pay raise or getting new jobs.

Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT) is a 5-day course.  Anyone in the computer network field will tell you that the CCENT goal is pretty sad, “Successful CCNET candidates will be able to configure and verify small-routed and switched networks, use basic security measures and configure IP addresses.”

Lake Tahoe on Fire, Not From Partying

Two of the three little pigs are sending condolences while the third little pig is talking about how he built his house with bricks and isn’t afraid of wolves or fires, just taxes and the amnesty bill.

Over 220 homes have been turned into ash along with other structures. Lt. Kevin House with the El Dorado County Sheriff Department said the fire has been devastating, stating “This is far and above the biggest disaster that has happened to this community, probably in forever.” Continue Reading »

Chris Benoit Not Alive

Famous wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife, and 7 year-old son were found dead at their Fayetteville, GA home on June 25th.  The current thoughts being pushed around the Internet are that Chris killed his wife and son and then himself.  Detective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being investigated as a murder-suicide, but said that could not be confirmed until the evidence was examined by a crime lab. Nuns accused of stealing Jesus statue

Madrid – A northern Spanish village is furious at a community of nuns whom it accuses of stealing three religious statues, the daily El Mundo reported on Monday.

The religious order of the Discalced Carmelites had been present for 125 years in Grajal de Campos near Leon, where it was in charge of a cloister and an adjoined church.

Mile-wide UFO spotted by airline pilot

One of the largest UFOs ever seen has been observed by the crew and passengers of an airliner over the Channel Islands.

An official air-miss report on the incident several weeks ago appears in Pilot magazine.

Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, flying close to Alderney first spotted the object, described as “a cigar-shaped brilliant white light”.

Cable rips girls feet off at Six Flags

A girl’s feet were cut off Thursday when a free-fall thrill ride malfunctioned at the Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Amusement Park in Louisville, Kentucky, police said.

A cord wrapped around the 16-year-old’s feet and severed them at her ankles while she was on the “Superman Tower of Power,” a police dispatcher said. The girl was taken to a local hospital.
