Driving Tickets Cost $1,000,000,000

June 30, 2007 you get a ticket for speeding, going 20 MPH over the speed limit and your total ticket is $200.
July 1, 2007 you get a ticket for speeding, going 20 MPH over the speed limit and your total ticket is $1,250.  Welcome to Virginia!
Driving without a license: then $75; now $975.

Virginia apparently doesn’t understand how to fund their own transportation costs with government funds that taxes pay for, so they have decided to up the cost traffic tickets by some insane amount of money. 

Sure it doesn’t bother me, because my scooter isn’t fast enough to get speeding tickets.  Also, I’m not allowed to leave the block with an adult with me and Virginia isn’t on my block.
