In something of an unexpected event, Tammy Faye has died. Faye’s personal website gave the news of the death today, though she reportedly died on Friday, after having battled with cancer.
Faye was a televangelist, make-up artist, part-time clown, wife, mother, sister, father, and all sort of other things. The passing will give several talkshow hosts something to clown about in the following week.
Along with half of the entertianment community’s future jokes about Tammy Faye, Yahoo! screwed up and mispelled her name.
