Xbox alive and celebrating

Xbox is still celebrating its victory over the Wii with its newest Halo 3 release – but don’t think for a second that this is the only good game that we were looking forward to. We’ve compiled a list of some of the hottest titles that we can expect to see from Xbox over the coming months:REZ
REZ or Rez HD (tentatively titled) is a rail shooter that differentiates itself from the standard arcade shooter by mixing fast paced rail shooting and catchy tunes created by the player as they destroy foes.

IKARUGA
This vertical scrolling shooter has you controlling a special ship that can switch between two colours – this little trick allows you to absorb enemy fire of the same colour.This is a fun game – but don’t let it deceive you. It is actually much harder than it looks.

STREET FIGHTER II TURBO HD
This game is a remake of the popular 2D fighting game with greatly enhanced graphics and highly detailed hand drawn characters. Expect to see all your favourite characters make a return in full HD.

CASTLE CRASHERS
Get ready for four-player mayhem as you fight your way through nasty beasts and enemies in colourful levels for the hand of the maiden-in-distress.

MASS EFFECT
From the makers of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect is an upcoming role-playing game that will see players exploring distant galaxies and meeting strange new alien races. With jaw dropping graphics and a deep story, this game is a one of the must have games this holiday season.

ASSASSIN’S CREED
You play as a cunning assassin running around in old Jerusalem, slitting the throats of evildoers.
Set in a massive game world, you take on missions where you must blend into the shadows and assassinate your foes

CALL OF DUTY 4: MODERN COMBAT
Call of Duty 4 is a first-person shooter set in the near future, and includes an intense single player campaign and engaging multiplayer mode.

GUITAR HERO III: LEGENDS OF ROCK
Turn up your amp and get ready to rock on with some of the greatest rock songs to date. Using the game’s unique guitar-shaped controller, challenge friends over Xbox Live or take on the game’s challenging single player mode.
