Give a little and get a lot

It’s been nearly 30 years but there is finally an answer to the popular question Terry Bollea asked as Hulk Hogan  ”Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?”  The answer is going to be a little upsetting to some, but the answer is “Ask for half.”

Hulk Hogan learned last week that his wife of 24 years wanted a divorce.  He heard about it from a reported who called Hogan asking for comments regarding the divorce request from his wife, which surprised Hogan who later admitted that he wasn’t sure if this was initially a joke.

Linda Bollea, who filed for divorce last week, is seeking half of the couple’s shared assets, which include more than $9.5 million in real-estate holdings.

The couple owns an almost 17,000-square-foot mansion in Belleair, Florida, that is valued at more than $7.2 million, and a 3,474-square-foot beachfront home in Clearwater, Florida, valued at more than $2.2 million.

They also have a condominium under construction in Las Vegas.

Bollea, who says in her court documents that her union with Hogan is “irretrievably broken,” is also seeking unspecified amounts of alimony and child support and asks that Hogan cover her legal expenses.

She asks that the couple’s 17-year-old son, Nick, make his primary residence with her but seeks “liberal” visitation rights for Hogan. At 19, daughter Brooke is not subject to child custody arrangements.  Knowing how Bollea is asking for so much, it’s only a question of time until she asks for one of Hulk’s kidneys too.

Before the split, the couple was focusing on assisting their son in defending himself against a felony reckless driving charge, stemming from the August crash that left his 22-year-old passenger critically injured.

Recordings of the 911 calls placed immediately following the crash were obtained by the St. Petersburg Times this week, with bystanders describing the aftermath of a “horrible accident.”

Several callers reported seeing Nick Hogan’s yellow Toyota Supra drag racing another car in the moments before it slammed into a palm tree.

Nick, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of impact, escaped with relatively minor injuries, including a broken arm and ribs and neck and knee injuries. He was treated and released from the hospital the morning after the accident.

His passenger, John Graziano, was not belted and suffered far more serious injuries, including a broken skull. He has been comatose since the accident, and his parents have declared him incapacitated.

Florida authorities recently stripped Nick of his license for one year, after determining him to be a dangerous driver. In order to avoid losing his license permanently, he must pay a fine for driving 106 mph at the time of his crash.
