Koreans make cats that glow in the dark
|
South Korean researchers from the Gyeongsang National University in Jinju, South Korea, modified these Turkish Angola cats to glow in the dark. The Scientists developed glowing cats by modifying the animals genes with a florescent protein that gives off a red glow under the special light. The gene that controls skin color was altered to create the glowing effect. This new trait could make it less likely cats would be run over, or make Koreans less likely to eat the little creatures.
