Military working on radio controlled moths, sharks & rats

The term bugging may have a new meaning in the digital age, scientists are working on fitting small creatures with video cameras, electrodes and batteries. The goal is to create an ‘army’ of radio controlled creatures including sharks, rats, moths, pigeons and maybe even cattle. The creatures would be employed as spies, used for search and rescue and could could start a new arms race - a creature one at that.

Oregon Craigslist hoaxers caught, used to cover up burglary

A week ago an Oregon man came home to find his home being rummaged through by about 30 people. A fake Craigslist ad claimed that the Jacksonville ranch’s owner had to leave town so suddenly that his belongings, which included a horse, were available for the taking. Oregon police got a subpoena for Craigslist records and were able to trace the posting to Brandon Herbert, 29, and Amber Herbert, 28. Continue Reading »

Truckers protest like retards

TRENTON, N.J. - Independent truckers around the country pulled their rigs off the road and others slowed to a crawl on major highways in a loosely organized protest of high fuel prices.

Some truckers, on CB radios and trucking Web sites, had called for a strike Tuesday to protest the high cost of diesel fuel, saying the action might pressure President George W. Bush to stabilize prices by using the nation’s oil reserves. Pack of armed third graders planned to kill teacher

Nine third graders from Waycross Georgia have been suspended after having been accused of brining weapons including a steak knife, a paperweight, handcuffs, gloves and several rolls of tape. The 8- and 9-year-olds have been accused of being involved in a plan to harm a teacher, but some parents said the plot was much worse. Wedding party boat capsizes killing 26 including bride

As many as 38 people drown when a boat carrying a wedding party to capsized on a river in Nigeria and 26 passengers are confirmed dead. Kano State police spokesman Baba Mohammed said three people survived the accident late Monday and about a dozen other passengers remain missing, including the bride.
