Facebook proves the friendless are friendless

There are reportedly over 90 million users on Facebook. When a group was added to save virtual whales, there were over 100,000 users signed up within the first 24 hours (that’s the power of viral marketing in Facebook). When an Australian man was injured in an attack on the Greek island of Mykonos, only 1,200 Facebook users cared to click the necessary button to show support.

Clicking a single button doesn’t take a lot of time, but apparently it was more time than Facebook users wanted to dedicate to Doujon Zammit and his cousin, Cameron Tabone, both age 20. Perhaps the virtual whales just needed more support. Continue Reading »

Luck of the Wiccan

What happens when you mix a Wiccan and a sword? The answer is comedy, pure comedy. Apparently there was a 36 year-old Wiccan that was at a cemetary playing with a sword, trying to perform some sort of cult ritual, when she put the sword through her foot instead of into the ground witch which she was aiming for at the time.

Of course, being a 36 year-old Wiccan is really the oddest part of this story for me, since it would seem more logical that after Katherine Gunther of Lebanon, Indiana turned 10 years-old she would grow up and stop playing kid games. Continue Reading »
