The star of the T.V. series The X Files, David Duchovny, has entered into rehab for sex addiction. From an exclusive interview, Duchovny is quoted as saying “I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”
Duchovny, 48, has been married to actress Téa Leoni since 1997. They have two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.
Duchovny’s publicist, Flo Grace, confirmed the report, which first appeared on the Web site People.com. She and his lawyer Stanton Stein both declined further comment.
