f the US presidential election were held today and other countries were allowed to vote Barack Obama would win 22 to 0.
23,531 people were polled across Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, the UAE, Britain and the United States between July and August 2008.
In 2004 a similar poll was taken by BBC/Globescan that showed 30 of 35 countries would have voted for John Kerry over George Bush.
Obama is currently leading by 9 percent in India, but has a comfortable 82 percent lead in Kenya. The worldwide average was 49% for Obama and only 12% for McCain with huge numbers of undecided voters who have not yet decided who they cannot vote for.
