Swiss restaurant to serve human milk

Hans Locher, the owner of a Swiss restaurant in a fancy resort area in Winterthur plans on adding human milk to the menu.

The owner of the restaurant posted an add for milk donors and will pay over six dollars for 14 ounces of milk. Swiss food control officials cannot ban the sale as there are regulations covering which species milk is banned for sale but does not mention human milk.

The menu will include stews, sauces and soups with up to 75% human milk. The human milk will be mixed with whipped cream for taste purposes.

The taste of human milk varies wildly based on what the woman has consumed. Human milk is primarily made up of protein, fat, lactose, vitamins, and minerals. It is said to taste a lot like skim milk — thin, with a low fat content. Also, many say it tastes sweet.
