Bette Midler to stop touring to save the planet with Vegas show
|
62 year old singer Bette Midler has announced she will quit touring in an effort to save the planet. Her tour requires 14 trucks and she claims that is wasting too much gas. Instead she will do shows in Vegas that every member of the audience not living in Las Vegas will have to drive across the country to see.
She is going to take an exclusive contract for $13 million dollars to preform in a Vegas casino.
Just make sure you turn up in a eco-friendly way.
She will star in “The Showgirl Must Go On” at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for the next two years.
“I can avoid it,” she says, shaking her head, and going on to provide an impressive list of her green credentials that would put most celebrities to shame.
“I don’t drive much, I have a Smart car, I have a hybrid, I drive a [Toyota] Prius,” she says.
