Muppet caught speeding by German traffic cameras

An Audi with British plates has been repeatedly caught speeding by German traffic cameras, unfortunately the only visible occupant has been a muppet.

Because of the camera’s angle the car’s occupants cannot be clearly identified. The muppet is clearly Animal the drummer from the band Electric Mayhem.

Also photographed have been Grover, and Ernie.

German police say the plate is not enough and they need clear evidence of who was driving the car.

“But because this is a British vehicle we can never get a decent picture. The driver has obviously worked this out because he has placed a large puppet in the passenger seat.

The muppet powered car has been clocked driving at 96 miles per hour in a 74 mile per hour zone.

The fine would be about 65 dollars or 50 euros and a driving penalty of three points.

Police are hoping someone can identify the driver based on the photos they have released.
