Real life Cinderella no Disney movie

Police claim a teenage niece was beaten and forced to live as a house servant while her nieces lived in comfort.

In the fairy tale Cinderella is kept in neglect by a cruel step-mother who forces her to live in a small room and clean up after her her step-sisters living as a maid.

In the story an evil stepmother and her daughters forced the first daughter to complete all the housework. When the girl had done her work, she sat in the cinders, which caused her to be called “Cinderella”.
In this real life tale the niece was kept in a small shabby room with no amenities while Escobar’s daughters had toys, TVs and DVD players in their rooms.

According to police she was forced to do housework and clean up after the other girls and was regularly beaten.

On at least two occasions the young girl suffered injuries including black eyes and a sprained wrist.

Mara Escobar pleaded not guilty to the charges two counts of child rape, five counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of assault and battery on a child causing bodily injury and one count of domestic assault and battery.

The victim was reportedly beaten with various household objects including thorny rose stems and frozen hot dogs.
