Hong Kong – The 450 foot long luxury hotel looks like Noah’s Ark complete with 67 pairs of fiberglass animals.
Built by three billionaire Hong Kong brothers the Kwok’s was a marketing idea to draw guests outside of the main Hong Kong city area.
Fellow Ark builders in the Netherlands are planning a more “accurate” ark that will actually float.
The Hong Kong attempted to create a permanent rainbow but failed.
The Kwok brothers made a fortune from their father’s business Sung Hung Kai which at one point was the world’s largest property developer.
The hotel was originally going to be an amusement park rides until the plan was shifted to being a hotel.
Development began in 2004 and has 270,000 square feet and cost an undisclosed amount.
The ark was constructed on a small island that can be reached by ferry near a bridge going to the airport.
