In Israel, a woman was trying to be nice and buy her mother a new mattress so she scheduled and had it delivered. The old mattress was taken to a city dump before the mother returned home to learn her daughter had been so thoughtful as to buy her a new mattress.
Upon realizing what had happened, the mother informed her daughter that she had kept her life savings of approximately $1,000,000 in the mattress.
Since the mattress was taken away by the garbage collectors, the daughter started her searching of three different landfills. One of the dump managers told the reporters regarding this story that security had been stepped up to keep treasure hunters from attempting to plunder the lost fortune, while also stating that with 2,500 tons of garbage arriving daily it would be quite difficult to find one single item.
I bet the daughter will be grounded for a long time for this.
