Despite their radical difference in size, these two dogs have something in common – Gibson the Great Dane and Boo Boo the toy Chihuahua are both world record holders.

Measuring a whopping 42 inches, gentle giant Gibson was named tallest dog back in 2004. Joining him in the hall of fame for 2007 is tiny Boo Boo who only measures 4 inches tall and is smaller than Gibson’s head.

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – U.S. television magnate Oprah Winfrey said on Monday she was “cleaning house” at her exclusive all-girl academy in South Africa after a dormitory matron was charged with abusing students at the facility.

Pilot who dropped atomic bomb on Hiroshima dies

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP)–Paul Tibbets, the pilot and commander of the B-29 that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, died Thursday. He was 92.

Tibbets died at his Columbus home, said Gerry Newhouse, a longtime friend. Tibbets suffered from a variety of health problems and had been in decline for two months.

Entertainer Robert Goulet, who gained legions of fans with his rich, baritone singing voice and handsome features, has died in Los Angeles at the age of 73.Goulet passed away Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was was awaiting a lung transplant. Kid Rock could beat up Robert Ritchie

Kid Rock spent most of Sunday in jail after he got into a scuffle with a man outside a suburban Atlanta waffle house, cops said.

The rocker, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, and five members of his entourage were charged with simple battery after the predawn fight with a man police identified as Harlen Akins. Gatorade Tiger

Tiger Woods will have his own brand of sports drink next year under an endorsement deal announced Tuesday with Gatorade that marks a couple of firsts for the world’s No. 1 golfer — his first U.S. deal with a beverage company and his first licensing agreement.
